New in the Gustard DAC, A26 is up!
Another heavy rival from Gustard, A26, comes out after the top-ranking R26! Let's take closer look at this new DAC! A26 utilizes dual flagship D/A chip AK4499EX, and AK4191 modulator for solid performance. With an independent power supply and grounding for each channel, separate digital-analog architecture eliminates interferences from the beginning.
LPF is specifically designed for the AK4499EX using discrete devices. The final parameters of the circuit are adjusted with subjective listening. Different from ICs, discrete circuits provide the possibility to control every detail in sound and performance. But the parasitic effects introduced huge challenges to the development experience and the device's quality.
As for the clock synthesizer, it adopts the ultra-low noise K2 to provide precision clocks from local oscillators or external clocks.
A26 has built-in independent regulators with various stages of bypass capacitors that can avoid all interference.
Besides, A26 supports MQA, and easy access to high-quality online streams, like Roon, UPnP, and HQPlayer NAA at present, and more protocols will be shown in near future.
Let's turn to the exterior design, obviously, it houses a machined case, carved from aluminum, you can have it in black or in silver. Gustard made it easy to operate as well by remote control or touch. On its front panel, there is a decent screen display for reaching the music info clearly, it's smooth and aesthetic. On the rear of A26, It features rich interfaces, you can spot the widest variety of digital inputs. The usual RCA and XLR outputs are presented for your choice.
Now, it's available and can be easily accessed at US$1499.99! Head over to this miraculous DAC! As always, feel free to comment, live chat with us, or email at support@shenzhenaudio.com
